Joshua Lesko

Josh was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. Like so many, he faced many challenges throughout his academic journey in public school but still managed to come away with an immense appreciation for the opportunity education provides and the great work that so many educators do on a daily basis. He credits his overall appreciation for education to the handful of amazing educators who had a meaningful impact by challenging and supporting him. 

Post college, Josh moved to San Jose, California to start his career in public accounting. He soon fell in love with venture capital and joined Venrock in 2013. After 10 years there, Josh then served as CFO and CCO of Contrary before joining Reach Capital.

Why Education?

From spending hours flipping through an encyclopedia (pre-internet) to going down a random rabbit hole on the internet, Josh has always had an appreciation for learning. Improving the way we teach, learn and live gives more people the opportunity to find success in life.
