Demetrius Palmer

As an alumnus of a Chicago-based initiative that helped underrepresented and first-generation students gain access to higher education, Demetrius experienced firsthand the power of bridging opportunity gaps for those underserved. His transformative journey led him to Howard University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics & Community Development, dedicating his efforts to uplifting others facing similar challenges. His commitment to dismantling socioeconomic inequality materialized through research on poverty, serving nonprofits supporting minority-owned businesses, and mentorship for inner-city youth. Prior to joining Reach Capital, he contributed to the success of two investment funds driving social impact. Currently, he is pursuing an MBA at North Carolina A&T State University.
